OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard or HCS is a vital safety regulation that is based on the United Nation’s Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals or GHS. As of 2012, the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) is now aligned with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS).

According to 29 CFR 1910.1200(h), if your company handles chemicals in the work area, you must provide employees with training about the hazards in their workplace. This course will help provide you with the knowledge and oversight that you need to understand the GHS and how it relates to the HCS. You will also learn how it applies across the globe and what impact it might have on your operations.
