FREE US DOT PHMSA GRANT HAZARDOUS MATERIALS REGULATIONS 28-HOUR ADVANCED TRAINING WORKSHOP

This workshop is offered with U.S. DOT PHMSA HMIT (Hazardous Materials Instructor Training) Grant support to the National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (National PETE).

This training is FREE for employees and federal, state, county and local government employees involved in DOT HazMat Shipping, Receiving and Handling via Ground, Air and Vessel Transportation.

Prerequisite:

All attendees must have attended the 2016-2017 PETE HMIT Grant 40-hour HAZMAT Regulations and Instructional Technology Program or the 2019-2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 PETE HMIT Grant 24-hour HAZMAT Regulations and Instructional Technology Overview.

The workshop curriculum is in accordance with 49 CFR § 172.704 for General Awareness, Function-Specific, Safety and Security Awareness training requirements.

This Advanced Lesson Plan requires students, within a group setting, to apply their recently acquired skills and knowledge from the Instructional Technology Review for the Group(s) Design, Development and Preparation of Multi-Modal (DOT, IATA, IMDG Topics with PPE Hazard Assessment) 35 Minute Training Presentation.

Class size is limited to 20 students with social distancing protocols, so act fast. Minimum of 10 attendees needed to confirm the class.
