The construction industry presents unique and dynamic safety challenges that demand specialized knowledge and proactive management. This course is designed to equip safety professionals with the critical skills needed to identify and control health and safety hazards specific to construction environments. Whether consulting on a site-specific project, overseeing a facility expansion, or managing a large-scale renovation, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of construction safety practices. This PDC includes an in-depth review of site-specific safety plans, hazard recognition, and effective control measures tailored to the complexities of construction sites. With this training, safety professionals will be empowered to create safer workplaces, protect workers, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
This self-paced course is designed to provide EHS professionals with basic knowledge of hazards specific to the construction industry and knowledge to control those hazards.
Course Expectations
- Videos and other learning aids are provided for self-paced learning. Course activities may include but are not limited to practice activities, multiple-choice quizzes, and small group activities. These activities are designed to engage participants and assist in the retention of presented information.
- Access to all course activities and materials is available for one (1) year from the paid registration date through the Bowen EHS® Learning Center.
