The CE 1102: Industrial Hygiene for Safety Professionals course was designed to provide a fundamental knowledge of the Industrial Hygienist role in a safety position. The learning objectives are listed here:
+Recall the history and regulatory background of industrial hygiene including related standards published by agencies such as OSHA.
+Summarize how the principles of physics, chemistry, and biological sciences apply to the practice of industrial hygiene.
+Explain how the practice of industrial hygiene fits within an environmental health and safety (EH&S) program.
+Explain the management of issues from the perspectives of anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control.
+Identify occupational health hazards that may exist in the workplace including ergonomic, chemical, biological, radiological and physical hazards.
+Perform basic calculations related to industrial hygiene.

This course is only available online and students may enroll in the course at any time. A Certificate of Completion and 5.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded upon successful completion of this course.
