IATA Training is required for any hazmat employee who needs to understand how to use the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). This includes: Shipping personnel who prepare and sign the shipping papers for air transport, Personnel responsible for classifying hazardous products, and anyone else who meets the definition of a “hazmat employee” and who needs to understand how to read and interpret the IATA Air Regulations.
The 1-Day webinar is a review of topics covered in the 2-Day initial class with an emphasis on updates and changes. Recurrent training is required every 24 months for IATA. Recurrent students, please take the IATA pretest.
Materials Required: The Current edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations is required for this session. If you need a current copy, we suggest purchasing one from our recommended suppliers. Students will be emailed the class workbook, which they will download and print; we suggest putting it in a three-ring binder.
Webinar Hours: 11am – 7pm Eastern Standard Time (includes testing). Sign-in begins 15 minutes before class start time. Class times are EST – please adjust according to your time zone.
Student Workbook: students download the workbook to view and print it. We suggest putting it in a three-ring binder. If you do not print the workbook, you must be able to view it at the same time as the webinar.
Regulations: 49CFR, IATA and IMDG classes require the actual regulations. Students must provide them, as they are not included in the course. If you need a current copy, we suggest purchasing one from our recommended suppliers.
The exam is taken online at the conclusion of the webinar. Exams must be submitted within 3 hours of completion of the course.
Training location: We recommend taking the webinar from a location where you will not be distracted by coworkers or daily work duties.

Classroom training may be more suited for you if: You do not use the IATA Regulations on a regular basis, and/or you prepare or need to determine: Multiple Hazards, n.o.s. Proper Shipping Names, Mixtures and Solutions, Different Dangerous Goods packed together (determining the Q value)
