About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Compliance Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing client in Peoria County, IL. Reporting directly to the Senior EHS Manager, you will oversee local environmental programs, strategic direction, and staff activities to drive facility performance and maintain full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Expertise: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on federal, state, and local environmental regulations, partnering closely with site operations and safety leadership.
Program Management: Lead multi-media compliance initiatives across Water (SPCC, stormwater), Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous), and Air (internal respiratory and external emissions).
Strategy & Leadership: Design, develop, and implement site environmental goals. Direct, mentor, and develop local environmental staff.
Audits & Inspections: Lead site environmental audits and regulatory inspections, creating and executing remediation plans as needed.
Agency Relations: Build and maintain constructive, positive relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
Continuous Improvement: Spearhead continuous improvement efforts for site environmental policies, programs, and employee behavior/compliance training.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
5+ years of environmental compliance management experience.
Demonstrated success managing multi-media environmental programs in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
Compensation & Benefits

Target Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000
