We are recruiting for a premier manufacturing client in Montague, MI. You will join an energized site EHS team, reporting directly to the facility EHS Manager, to champion, shape, and elevate our Environmental Health and Compliance programs.

What You’ll Do (Major Responsibilities):
• Be the Expert: Partner closely with operational leadership, serving as the go-to authority on interpreting federal, state, and local environmental compliance regulations.
• Drive Strategy: Bridge the gap between corporate environmental goals and local, on-the-ground strategies.
• Lead & Audit: Own the inspection process, participate in/lead audits, and proactively develop robust remediation plans.
• Manage Multi-Media Compliance: Take the reins on key environmental areas, including Water (waste, storm), Solid Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous), and Air (internal respiratory and external emissions).
• Culture & Training: Lead and participate in dynamic employee training programs that promote safe EHS behaviors and total compliance.
What You Bring to the Table:
The Must-Haves (Minimum Requirements):
• Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, EHS, or a closely related discipline.
• 3+ years of dedicated environmental experience.
• Demonstrated familiarity with executing compliance programs across Federal, State, and local Safety and Multi-Media Environmental regulations.
The Nice-to-Haves (Preferred Competencies):
• 5+ years of Environmental program experience.
• Professional Certifications that set you apart (e.g., REM, CEP, CHMM, CPEA, EIT, etc.).
