Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety Professional to join our manufacturing client’s campus team. This is a vital leadership position where you will serve as the primary face of the environmental program, dedicating approximately 75% of your time specifically to environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Culture

•          Team Guidance: Lead, manage, direct, coach, and motivate plant personnel and environmental team members to meet EHS goals safely and efficiently.

•          Culture Alignment: Foster a continuous improvement mindset and maintain a culture aligned with the client’s core EHS objectives.

•          Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to implement environmental improvement projects supporting rapid growth in the aerospace industry, ensuring zero adverse risks to health and safety.

• Compliance, Permits & Reporting

•          Regulatory Management: Manage environmental issues, permits, and regulatory reports across multiple disciplines, including Air, Wastewater, Storm Water, Chemical, and Waste Disposal/Recycling/Sustainability.

•          Filing & Documentation: Ensure the timely and accurate submission of records to demonstrate compliance with federal, state, and company-specific programs.

•          Agency Interface: Lead environmental permit review requirements and act as the main point of contact with regulatory agencies.

• Strategy & Environmental Stewardship

•          Program Implementation: Assist in developing and executing environmental management systems to meet, maintain, and exceed regulatory laws and company policies.

•          Change Evaluation: Review upcoming production and equipment changes to ensure environmental requirements are sustained or improved.

•          Sustainability Initiatives: Evaluate processes to optimize, minimize, or eliminate waste and reduce water usage, driving corporate sustainability goals and establishing best practices.

• Operations & Training

•          Training Delivery: Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS compliance training for site personnel.

•          Fieldwork: Manage and/or perform hands-on monitoring and measurement tasks.

•          Contractor Oversight: Lead contractor management for the wastewater treatment and discharge program.
