Are you a proactive safety professional looking to make a tangible impact on large-scale construction projects? We are seeking a Construction Safety Professional to lead EHS initiatives for a premier construction client in Monroe, LA. This role is ideal for a dedicated specialist who excels at bridging the gap between high-level compliance and daily operational excellence.

 

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will serve as the strategic and tactical lead for all EHS programs. Your mission is to foster a culture of safety that protects employees and assets while ensuring the site remains a model of efficient productivity.

 

Core Responsibilities

•          Program Leadership: Oversee the direction and implementation of EHS practices and policies tailored to site-specific needs.

•          Regulatory Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for GC Safety Representatives, interpreting federal, state, and local H&S regulations to ensure 100% compliance.

•          Strategic Alignment: Harmonize local safety goals with broader corporate strategies to create a unified safety vision.

•          Training & Mentorship: Lead engaging employee training sessions focused on safe working behaviors and regulatory standards.

•          Audit & Remediation: Conduct rigorous site audits and inspections, developing and executing clear remediation plans for any identified risks.

•          Continuous Improvement: Partner with business leaders to refine safety procedures, aiming for the highest levels of protection and operational flow.

 

Qualifications

•          Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or a related technical field.

•          Experience: 1+ years of dedicated safety experience specifically within a construction environment.

•          Authorization: Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Preferred Competencies

•          Professional certifications such as ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician).

•          Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
