This course is geared towards hazardous waste generators that are required to understand the fundamental regulatory requirements that apply to their facility. After explaining the regulations in 40 CFR §260-265, the class focuses on workshops and case scenarios to aid students in their understanding as to how the rules apply. We also review the relationship with the DOT requirements for transportation of Hazardous Waste. Each student receives student handouts and PTP’s exclusive RCRA workbook on the fundamentals of the hazardous waste regulations. Certificates are issued upon successful completion. NOTE: The new Universal Waste Rule and Waste Pharma Rules will be covered in the class and the updated regulations provided.
