OSHA First Responder Operations Training

Loading Training

Does your job require you to be involved in emergency response to incidents where hazardous materials or chemicals are involved? Are you or do you have the potential to be the first person on scene during an emergency? If so, OSHA requires that you take one of five levels of training. At the OSHA First Responder Operations level, you take defensive actions to help limit the effects of a spill, such as operating remote valves or laying down barriers to prevent the material from entering storm drains. You do not contact the material.

Our online OSHA First Responder training course discusses all of the concepts of response, safety, hazard and risk assessment, and actions that can be taken by those with this level of certification. Some jobs that frequently require this training are Police Officer, Firefighter, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Public Works employee, or facility Emergency Response Team members.

Our self-paced 8-hour OSHA First Responder training course provides training and certification to the OSHA First Responder Operations (FRO) level, which is the most popular level of chemical response certification around the country. It fulfills your OSHA training requirement under 29 CFR 1910.120(q) for either the initial or annual refresher training requirement. Contact us today if you have any questions at [email protected].
