CE 1107: Coronavirus Prevention and Control: Strategies for Employees

This course covers coronavirus related hazards at the intermediate level. Material covered includes information on workplace hazards ranging from those encountered by general workers to individuals who are required to work in environments that include individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. Students will learn to identify potential exposures in the workplace; identify the proper risk category for work activities; choose appropriate engineering controls for different risk categories; identify appropriate administrative controls for each risk category; select effective personal protective equipment for identified risk categories; and explore proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures for the workplace.
Course Textbook: This course does not utilize a textbook.
Course Cost: $195 (includes access to CE 1106)

CEUs Earned Upon Course Completion: 2.4
Course Length: This course is a 10-week, self-paced, open enrollment course. Once students complete the course with a 70% or higher within the 10-week time frame, they will receive a certificate of completion that lists the CEUs earned. Course must be paid for in full before student is eligible to receive certificate of completion.
Students can apply for an extension if the course is not completed within the allotted 10-week time frame. If students do not complete all assignments with a 70% or higher within 10 weeks, they will be removed from the course if an extension is not applied for.
