SUMMARY:Excepted Quantities (49CFR/IATA/IMDG) - Online
DESCRIPTION:Who should take this course? Choose this course if ALL of your inner packaging (i.e. a bottle) are 30 mL (1 oz) or less and the total gross weight of the package is 29 kg or less. There are some additional restrictions under IATA (Air) such as a total volume limit per package of one pint to one liter or less\, but in general\, if you never ship anything larger\, this may be the only training you need. (Ground\, Air & Ocean shipments) This course may be taken by those needing Initial or Recurrent training. \nThis course is also very good as an add-on course to give you additional function specific training in this topic. \nMaterials Required: When beginning the course follow onscreen prompts to download and print the student workbook. \nSecurity Awareness Training is included with this online course. \nAre any additional training courses required? \n\nFunction Specific Training – As long as you are not in a position where you have to read and interpret the regulations or determine compliance or acceptance\, this course is sufficient for those workers following instructions and just handling shipments of Dangerous Goods. SUMMARY:Laser Safety Fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:Unlock the power of laser safety knowledge with this self-paced professional development course!\nLasers are everywhere—from cutting-edge healthcare procedures and advanced manufacturing processes to research labs and everyday technologies like optical mice and laser range finders. While lasers drive innovation\, they also present unique hazards\, both from direct beam exposure and ancillary risks. As an OEHS professional\, understanding laser operation\, hazards\, and safety controls is crucial to preventing injuries and ensuring workplace safety. However\, gaining this specialized knowledge can often be a challenge.
