SUMMARY:Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) for Flight Operations Personnel and Flight Dispatchers (e-learning)
DESCRIPTION:If you ship dangerous goods by air on either passenger or cargo airlines\, you must comply with ICAO/IATA’s requirements. Although the ICAO Technical Instructions are the legally binding document for shipping dangerous goods by air\, the majority of the world’s airlines use the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations which fully reflect all of the provisions found in the ICAO TI’s. The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations require that employees involved in shipping dangerous goods receive training (IATA DGR 1.5). This interactive online course meets the minimum training requirements specified in the IATA DGR for employees shipping and handling dangerous goods. You MUST have a copy of the IATA DGR – 61st Edition to complete this course. Duration: Approximately 4 hours \nWho should take this course:\nThis course is ideal for operations-level employees (IATA Categories 2\, 4\, and 5) who package\, mark\, label and document air shipments. Additional training is required to meet the U.S. DOT’s “function-specific” and general awareness training requirements for ground shippers. \nCourse Objectives:\n•What dangerous goods are and how they are classified\n•What training is required and why\n•How the IATA DGR (61st edition) applies in various countries and with various airlines\n•How to pack\, mark and label items in accordance with the IATA DGR 61st Edition\n•How to correctly document dangerous goods shipments\n•Safety and security provisions \nRegister at the link at right >>

SUMMARY:Excepted Quantities (49CFR/IATA/IMDG)
DESCRIPTION:Who should take this course? Choose this course if ALL of your inner packaging (i.e. a bottle) are 30 mL (1 oz) or less and the total gross weight of the package is 29 kg or less. There are some additional restrictions under IATA (Air) such as a total volume limit per package of one pint to one liter or less\, but in general\, if you never ship anything larger\, this may be the only training you need. (Ground\, Air & Ocean shipments) This course may be taken by those needing Initial or Recurrent training. \nThis course is also very good as an add-on course to give you additional function specific training in this topic. \nMaterials Required: When beginning the course follow onscreen prompts to download and print the student workbook. \nSecurity Awareness Training is included with this online course. \nAre any additional training courses required? \n\nFunction Specific Training – As long as you are not in a position where you have to read and interpret the regulations or determine compliance or acceptance\, this course is sufficient for those workers following instructions and just handling shipments of Dangerous Goods.
