For shipments using Ground Transportation in the United States, also known as DOT, Air Transportation, also known as ICAO, and/or Ocean (vessel) Transportation. Fulfills US DOT and International Law Training Requirements.

49CFR Training is required for shippers who prepare dangerous goods shipments for highway transit using the 49CFR regulations.

IMDG Training is required for any hazmat employee who needs to understand how to use the IMDG Code. This includes: Shipping personnel who prepare and sign the shipping papers for ocean transport, Personnel responsible for classifying hazardous product, Anyone else who meets the definition of a “hazmat employee” and who needs to understand how to read and interpret the IMDG Code.

IATA Training is required for any hazmat employee who needs to understand how to use the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). This includes: Shipping personnel who prepare and sign the shipping papers for air transport, Personnel responsible for classifying hazardous product, and anyone else who meets the definition of a “hazmat employee” and who needs to understand how to read and interpret the IATA Air Regulations.

The 5-Day Initial course is designed for basic shippers, freight forwarders, third-party logistics entities, carriers and freight brokers who prepare shipments for ground, air and ocean transport.

Topics covered include all those covered in the stand-alone 2-Day initial classes for 49CFR, IATA & IMDG.

Materials Required: Current edition of the 49CFR, IATA & IMDG is required for this session. If you need a current copy, we suggest purchasing one from our recommended suppliers.

Recommended supplies: Sticky notes, pens, highlighter, notepaper.
